Makeup bag addition: Lip Whip
Who knew a recent visit to a Seattle boutique would have me falling head over heels for my latest makeup bag addition: Lip Whip. Lip Whip is a Kari Gran product hand poured in Seattle which gives my local heartstrings a pull.
I’m a firm believer in a pop of lip color — no matter the season! However, I’m in the camp of finding lipstick extremely frustrating to apply, keep on and not get on just about everything (my clothes, my teeth, my boyfriend’s cheek, my coffee lid). Lip gloss is too sticky, chapstick moisturizes but doesn’t give my lips enough color and lipstick includes the sob story above. I truly believe Kari Gran’s Lip Whip is the perfect hybrid of the three.
Another plus side to Lip Whips? They are made without parabens (I’m often allergic to these!) and other toxins. They are intended to nourish and hydrate your lips all while providing you with a subtle or vibrant punch of color (your preference!) They won’t leave you with the dry lipstick look and they endure even the darkest of red wines (I’ve tested and approved). You can choose from a range of pigments, all natural I should add — I prefer the pink shades and a coral red that complements my skin tone. The hues range from sheer to bold, depending on what look you are going for.
To apply my Lip Whip, I just use my finger for easy application. The more color you want, the more you apply. It’s that easy! The packaging is sleek and compact, the perfect size for your makeup bag, going out clutch or travel bag. I take my Lip Whips with me everywhere, because I can!
