Meet Taylor, the crossbody bag of summer courtesy of Oliver Bilou. This bag is versatile in all of the right ways from its creamy nude color, rose gold accents and just-the-right size.

I always manage to stuff way too many items into one purse and it results in a heavy bag and sore back/shoulders. Having a bag that's smaller in size requires me to downsize my haul to the essentials, and for summer, this is a must. I was first drawn to this crossbody bag because I was in need of a new summer bag that would be excellent for days when I'm at work or on the go as well as for day and evening. I also finally did a spring cleanse of my handbags recently and discovered I own too many dark colored bags so it was time to lighten things up a bit. This creamy nude color is the perfect shade for the last of spring as we move into summer and can also transition nicely into fall.

This handbag also has rose gold accents - a metallic I was drawn to on this handbag because it gives it just the right amount of pop. Rose gold is the perfect metallic for summer because its more playful and trendy. The straps are also unique with the rose gold handle wrap detailing which none of my other handbags have. Other details like the hanging tag, metallic zipper and metal feet also kick this bag up a notch.

To play up the feminine style of my handbag, I decided to show it off with this Ruby Claire Boutique 'Garden Day Dress' which is more of a body con style with a fun floral print. The color of my handbag compliments this print nicely. This dress has been one of my favorites to wear this spring due to its feminine fit and versatility from day to evening (throw on a pair of sandals for day or a pair of wedges for evening!) Also, this dress has pockets...need I say more?

My denim button-up from Nordstrom is one of my favorites to bring along as an extra layer. And when I'm not wearing it I like to embrace the wrap around the waist trend. Wrapping a sweater or button up around your waist is an easy and fun style hack for when you want to bring an extra layer along for later without actually having to wear it at the time.

My pair of Nordstrom nude BP wedges from a few years back have been making their appearance lately with all of this 80-degree Seattle weather and do not let their height fool you -- these are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I own! They are so fun to wear with a pair of raw hem jeans or flowy pants or in this case, with a summer dress.

When it comes to accessorizing this outfit, I wanted to play up some feminine jewelry and compliment the metallic accents on my handbag. A dainty gold bangle, stacked gold rings and my Nordstrom rose gold watch keep the focus on the print and bag but make my outfit complete.

When it comes to my summer style, I embrace comfort and versatility to make all of my outfits unique and worth the purchase. What are some of your favorite versatile items for summer?
