Achieving your beauty glow in the winter months
I don't know about you, but my hair gets SO DRY in the winter months! Even after a fresh hair cut, regular hair masks and conditioning treatments I still feel like my hair lacks that extra shine especially on my ends - they tend to look frazzled from all of the elements outside.
I was gifted the Mermaid Hair Shine Spray by Mermaid Perfume to put my hair to the ultimate test now that it's nothing but wind, rain and snow (yes, snow) lately! I've noticed Mermaid Perfume products at Anthropologie before but I'd never heard of the shine spray until now. I'm often weary of using shine sprays since they tend to make my fine hair look really greasy especially when used in excess at the roots. I'd read great reviews about the shine spray and that it can be used on hair and body for a little added glow. I do love multifunctional products! The purpose of the shine spray is to enhance shine, softness and help tame flyaways. I recommend only using about 2-3 sprays from roots to ends. It does not flatten or grease up my hair like previous shine sprays in the past! It also is long-lasting so on days where I want my hair a bit more loose, I use this in place of hairspray and it works wonders keeping the baby hairs out of my face.
It also smells AMAZING! Consisting of orange blossom flowers, ocean waves, salt and coconut - it's the perfect beachy combo and makes me dream of days spent in Hawaii instead of days spent in the rain here in Seattle. I sometimes use it as an after spray once all my makeup is in place and it helps give me a little glow especially on days when I forget my highlighter.
You can shop this spray online for $28 and you can check out the other Mermaid Perfume hair products here. They have an assortment of Mermaid No 01, No 02 and No 03 products out to shop and some that are still launching! I can't wait to try out more of their products! From body oils to shampoos/conditioners to candles, they really have it all!
