This time of the year is my absolute favorite and yet, it always seems to fly by the fastest! I've teamed up with Timex this fall to share with you the Top 4 ways I'm going to #taketime this fall to really soak up the season.
1. Host a seasonal party. I've been wanting to host an autumn-inspired party for years now but never buckled down with the planning process. This year, I'm making it happen! Come November, I'll be hosting a group of girlfriends and influencers for an autumn soiree filled with good eats, drinks and crafting fun! I wanted to make sure I took the time this year to plan for this event to really end the season on a fun note and make it one to enjoy with those I love!
2. Try out some new recipes. Fall is the time of year I feel experimental in the kitchen. I have so much fun researching recipes on Pinterest or asking my friends and family about their favorite dishes to serve or snack on this fall. As a proud owner of a crock pot and fondue maker, I've been actively taking the time to research new recipes I can make for every meal of the day and meal prep for my week at work! I'm currently testing out a lamb chop recipe and butternut squash pasta dish - if they're a success, a post will be up on West Coast Aesthetic soon!
3. Carry along my DSLR. As we all know in the blogging world, fall may be our favorite season but one of the most difficult ones to work around when we need blog photos. It's starting to get dark when I get off work making it extremely difficult to photograph content for my blog posts (other than on the weekends!) I've decided to start bringing my Nikon DSLR camera with me so I can document more occasions, looks and content for posts. Taking the time to plan for this content allows me to have enough to share with you on social and on my blog!
4. Plan accordingly. So much is happening in Seattle during this time of year! Pumpkin patches are open, farmers markets are in full swing with produce and other events are popping up around town (especially within the blogger community!) I've been trying to be proactive about researching events and keeping my content calendar and personal / work calendars up to date so I can make it to as many events and activities as possible this time of year. Sometimes, planning can be stressful, but it's amazing how much you can fit into your schedule when you take the time to plan for it.
How do you plan to #taketime this fall? I'd love to hear how you plan on enjoying more of life's special moments.
