An evening at Melrose Market Studios
I had the pleasure of attending a party hosted by DSquared at their beautiful Melrose Market Studios space located on Capitol Hill. This venue has it all – exposed brick, ironwork, exposed wood beams – industrial mixed with urban, swoon. The event was a fabulous excuse to dress up and go out for a date night with my boyfriend. I even got to wear my new hot pink knee-length dress from Nordstrom Rack that makes a nice statement paired with my Halogen black studded heels.
DSquared is the result of a recent rebrand (I love their new website!) and is what used to be referred to as Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes Catering based in Seattle, Washington. The event at Melrose was a wonderful celebration of sorts -- for their new launch and expansion on top of other exciting events they have in the upcoming months! We were provided with a range of delicious food and beverages at the event not to mention some delicious desserts to finish off the night.
I couldn’t resist ordering my go-to drink on the menu (I have to admit, it was a bit of a kick-up from my standard Moscow mule): the copper mule. My boyfriend Tristan was a fan of The Melrose Manhattan.
The space itself was decorated beautifully to accent the brick/industrial vibe it already had going on. Couches and chairs decorated with cushions made the space comfortable and inviting for conversation with new and old friends. The lighting was probably my favorite part – so many beautiful string lights dangled throughout the space along with the statement industrial caged lights, and candles of course!
I loved the main dining space as it was a great place to mingle whether you were seated at a table or hanging out by one of the standing tables. Although the venue itself can hold a crowd, the way the space was setup for this party, it made it easy to socialize all while loading up on food and drinks throughout the evening!
I couldn't resist taking several snaps of my favorite parts of the evening from the decor to the food to the people putting on the event and a couple snapshots of me and my guy all dressed up!
This evening was one for the books; not only did I come away with new friends and a couple new drink recipes but I left with wonderful memories. A serious shout-out to the DSquared team for hosting this beautiful event at the space and a big thank you to Amanda Austin, the senior event manager for inviting me to be apart of this stunning event.
