My spin on festival wear | Casual Boho

I may not have made it to Coachella this year, but I still found myself inspired by all of the outfits I was seeing of those that went. Not to mention, recently visiting Palm Springs a month ago really opened my eyes to festival-inspired clothing trends and how I could put my own spin on some of these styles by making them work for "everyday wear."

In my most recent styled shoot with KNDM Co., I am showcasing how to wear a variety of festival-inspired clothing trends this summer that can be worn during the day or for a night out. In my first look, I am showcasing one of my go-to casual boho looks. I love outfits that are lightweight and breezy during the summer but still look stylish especially when it comes to playing up accessories.

In this look, I am wearing my favorite summer shorts from Target that are made out of chiffon-like fabric and come in such a fun pattern to mix and match with. I tend to wear something more simple for a top when I am wearing these shorts since the shorts really speak for themselves with the pattern and loose style. For my top, I am wearing a Nordstrom crochet 3/4 length sleeve cream top -- I love the detailing of this top and despite it being see-through in the summer you can get away with wearing a stylish bandeau underneath and you are set!

For my shoes, I'm wearing my Steve Madden gladiator sandals. I often struggle with pairing my gladiator sandals with an outfit because they are such a statement shoe, but these really help tie in my boho-themed outfit quite nicely all while being casual and comfortable -- a win/win all around.

For accessories, I'm sporting what I refer to as my Indiana Jones sand colored floppy hat from Nordstrom. I love this hat because it goes with everything! It's also very light so it makes wearing a hat tolerable in the summer. I love the subtle knotted tie detailing on the side too. Since I'm wearing a more neutral top, I decided to wear my navy and gold statement necklace from Francesca's. This necklace helps compliment my shorts all while giving my outfit some additional feminine flare.

Boho casual can be achieved by mixing and matching pattern, color texture and various styles in the summer! After all, summer is all about layering and having fun experimenting with trends you enjoy.
