Distressed Denim: Weekend Casual
Weekend casual and distressed denim go hand and hand so what a great outfit choice to end my latest collaboration series with KNDM Co. showcasing my favorite looks revolving around distressed jeans.
This outfit truly embraces comfort all while being stylish. It also consist of the the perfect amount of layers as we have made our transition into warmer, spring days but it's still not consistently hot outside. I'm wearing my American Eagle medium washed distressed jeans in this look paired with a pullover black sweater from Nordstrom. The main focus of this look is what has become one of my favorite winter/spring accessories: the blanket scarf. I scored mine from Nordstrom and I love wearing it in the loose, poncho style. I also was drawn to this specific blanket scarf because of its simple yet stylish plaid pattern -- it goes with everything! It helps keep my look more on the casual side but dresses up what would be just an ordinary sweater underneath.
For accessorizing, I am wearing my silver fang statement necklace from frankie, a boutique located in Gig Harbor, Washington. I prefer to keep my jewelry simple on the weekends but you can never go wrong with a statement piece.
For shoes, I'm wearing my favorite weekend pair -- my perforated black slip-on Vans. These shoes seriously go with everything and are so comfortable! The perforated look also adds extra style to what would otherwise be an ordinary slip-on sneaker, it's really all in the details!
For weekend casual, my preference is an outfit that is versatile, one that I can both dress up and dress down but also accomplish a lot of weekend activities in: running errands, grabbing brunch, stopping by a coffee shop, heading to the bars for a casual night out, seeing a movie, or simply, relaxing at home. Comfortable and stylish, two words that should be used together more often!
