Feminine & Denim: Pretty in Pink
I am very excited to share my next look Pretty in Pink of my FEMININE & DENIM style and photo collaboration series with my lovely friend and Seattle-based photographer Kamrin Dishman of KNDM Co. The goal of this series is to express the various ways I like to rock feminine touches in an outfit like dainty jewelry, pastels and florals mixed with my go-to look of the spring: denim.
The second look of this collaboration is one of my favorite ways to be ultra girly in an effortless sort of way but lacks the denim. One can never go wrong with a flowy spring dress. I couldn't say no to this light pink dress from Forever21 with its subtle detailing like the scrunched waist and the open leg style, this dress can be worn for a night on the town or a casual day at the market. I love the fit and length of this dress because it makes someone my height (5'2) not appear as short by showing off some leg in the front. I was initially drawn to the dress due to its color: a light pastel pink. A color that made me a bit weary because it tends to wash me out with my skin tone and hair color. But I decided to embrace the nude and pastel shades and paired my dress with dainty rose gold jewelry courtesy of Francesca's and the most comfortable suede nude heels I scored at Old Navy, surprisingly! To bring out more of the nude shades of this look I added a layer to the look by sporting my crochet zip jacket from Nordstrom that looks great with any shade of pastel!
This look is truly effortless all while embracing the pastel shades of spring, which are very in this year! I encourage everyone to try out a shade that best suits you when styling your spring look!
