It’s funny, the older I get, the more I value comfort in the purchases I make. It’s become one of my tenants for new pieces I integrate into my wardrobe. Specifically, when it comes to shoes. Gone are the days of cramming my feet into shoes that are a half size too big or a half size too small. Gone are the days of purchasing shoes that gave me blisters but I still wore them time and time again because they were, “cute.” Who has time for that?! Not me.
I was so excited when Blowfish Malibu reached out to me to chat shoes — that is, shoes that are comfortable and affordable. Blowfish is a brand that embraces west coast cool (totally my vibe) and high-quality shoe design for the seasons! From sneakers to wedges to sandals, they really have the variety you’re looking for, at a killer price point. Also, if you have little ones they have a variety of toddler/kids shoes, too!
I received the Hirosha wedge sandal and was immediately dreaming up ways to style this pair! They have a faux cork sole, faux leather upper and a leopard strap detail — so versatile for summer into fall. Can I also just say, these wedges are SO COMFORTABLE! Hands down, one of my most comfortable pair of shoes to date. So easy to walk in, stand for hours at work in, travel in, etc. I also love the added height boost — when you’re 5’2, it’s fun to play with heel height, and luckily, with these being wedges, they give me the support I need all while adding a few extra inches.
For a transitional summer to fall outfit, I paired my Hirosha wedges with my new Nordstrom Anniversary Sale satin skirt — pattern play is a styling ‘must’ for me, so mixing the polka dots with the pop of leopard print instantly made this outfit stand out! Since it’s still fairly warm here in Seattle during the summer, I opted for an off-the-shoulder cream top. My Cult Gaia wooden bag also made an appearance in this look to bring out the color palette.
I can’t wait to come up with even more ways to style my Blowfish Malibu shoes into the fall —stay tuned!
