Home Tour: At home, with us

Happy Friday! It is with SO MUCH EXCITEMENT that I am able to share our official home tour with you all! Tristan and I made the move in together this past March and ever since we've been working on making our 863-square foot Queen Anne condo rental our home. Prior to our move in, we were living in separate apartments and had been living alone the last three years so this move was all about consolidating and starting fresh, in a way, together. *Also, I'll be sharing a blog post soon on tips for moving in with your partner that will highlight obstacles, conversations to be had and compromises you have to make when moving in together!

Tristan and I both have similar interior aesthetics, we both tend to lean more modern and industrial and both have a lot of west coast influence (me being a born and raised Washingtonian and him growing up in the Bay Area prior to his move to Seattle) when it comes to the materials and decor pieces we have in our home.

We wanted this space to feel like ours, not like just his or just mine. This meant compromising on some aesthetic choices, consolidating and budgeting for new items we needed to fill our space like a new sofa, new patio furniture and dining table set. It was amazing how quickly we were able to fill our two bedroom / two bathroom unit with our belongings, new and old! We didn't want to break the bank when buying new furniture and decor, so we relied a lot on scouting out sales online or visiting the local consignment store in Ballard (we scored our Article sofa from here for a steal!) Within a month of moving in our home really felt like home. Not to mention, there are few things better than being able to live life alongside your partner in a home you have and will continue to create together. It's bittersweet.

So without further ado, we are sharing bits and pieces of our home with you - some of the rooms that we love to spend time in solo and together and the details that make this home, ours. ENJOY!
