I've been loving integrating patterns into my outfits recently and I'm about to share one of my favorites for summer you don't want to miss: tie dye. Tie dye is a trend from years past seen in the world of interiors and fashion and should not be overlooked in your wardrobe this summer! Tie dye is a color effect (similar to that of an ombre) that creates a fading color effect.
When I laid eyes on this Tobi dress with exposed shoulders, a gathered waist and this beautiful blue dip dye pattern I was in heaven! It's the perfect summer dress that is so versatile for casual days or nights out. ALSO, this dress is currently on sale for $31 using the code GL50 which is valid to use until 5/17 (at 11:59pm!)
I styled my 70's-inspired summer dress with accessories that would compliment this look and keep the focus on the pattern. To dress up my outfit, I'm wearing a pair of Jeffrey Campbell nude mules -- these shoes are so comfortable and will be my go-to for summer as they are perfect for day and evening looks! My bright pink Kate Spade crossbody purse gives this outfit a pop of color and compliments the shades of blue in my look. Jewelry is kept more on the minimal side in this look with gold dainty rings from Francescas and a turquoise pendant from Forever21 which is one of my favorites to wear layered over the top of a dress. I'm also wearing my favorite cacti gold studs from Katie Dean Jewelry, the perfect earrings for summer time when I'm craving a vacay or the desert!
Now I'm just waiting for consistent sunshine here in Seattle so this outfit can be on a constant rotation this summer!
S/O to Tobi for collaborating on this blog post!
