These JustFab booties were made for...winter
After a week-long blogging hiatus, I'm back! Sometimes it's so nice to unplug and unwind, especially during the holidays when you want to spend time with family. This year, I visited my parents in snowy (and chilly) Colorado for Christmas and needless to say, the layers were a MUST for this trip! For those that haven't experienced Colorado in the winter, it's a doozy. One day it can be in the 60's and the next day it's 3 degrees or even hitting negative temperatures! I was adamant on packing the essentials with me this trip to keep me warm and cozy but also looking stylish, because after all, priorities are still a thing despite the weather!
I partnered with JustFab and was gifted a pair of the Zoey booties in the color picante and they made several appearances during my visit. I've never owned a pair of booties in this color (it's such a fun, vibrant red/orange) so styling them was extremely fun! I love the style of these faux suede booties. The heel isn't too tall (3.75") but it still gives you that added boost to feel confident but like you can comfortably move around with the added support from the block heel. I also love the back zip closure that adds a simple, statement touch to these booties. This style of bootie is also extremely versatile when it comes to integrating them into an outfit. Whether you want to pair your booties with a dress or wear them in a casual everyday look, it's doable!
During my holiday vacay, I was lounging around at home and on the go, so I paired these booties with an outfit that kept me comfortable and warm but still looking put together for whatever the occasion was. I love wearing booties with a pair of distressed denim! It's an excellent way to get that balance of dressed up and casual. My favorite pair of jeans to wear with my JustFab boots are my 'girlfriend' jeans from Abercrombie. These jeans have the perfect amount of raw hem and distressed detailing. I also was drawn to the lighter wash since most of the jeans I own are darker or medium wash.
I wanted the main focus to be on the pop of color from my booties, so I kept my top-half simple with a black and white chunky knit sweater from Nordstrom. I love wearing oversized knits during winter! It kept me plenty warm in the snowy and cold Colorado temperatures. Because it's a bit on the larger side, I love to loosely tuck-in the front to my jeans and wear a belt. Belts with oversized sweaters are my biggest hack for integrating an accessory when you want to be low-key about it!
Additional accessories to support my look are my new favorite pair of Triad Ball Drop earrings made by Sugarfix by Bauble Bar that come in array of colors! They are dainty but make such a fun statement especially when you wear your hair up or tied back.
A girl can also never be on the go without a go-to handbag! For me, this is my new The Daily Edited personalized circle leather bag in forest green that you can find here. This handbag will be traveling with me to London in the spring and has been on constant rotation this month. The color makes it versatile for all seasons and the size is perfect for carrying around the essentials. The shape of the handbag intrigued me from the very get-go and the monogram detailing is what sold me. Having my initials displayed on the handbag is such an elegant and personal touch and truly makes this bag one of a kind.
In this outfit, I love how various colors and textures go together oh, so perfectly. Mixing warm tones with neutrals is an excellent way to combat winter blues when you're feeling monochrome isn't cutting it. If there is one thing I can encourage you to try this winter, it's incorporating color in any way, shape or form into your wardrobe! Winter is the perfect time to amp up your outfits up with statement pieces that show off a pop of color, maybe even a color you'd never think to try!
A huge thank you to JustFab, The Daily Edited and Sugarfix by Bauble Bar for collaborating on this product sponspored blog post! All thoughts and opinions expressed on West Coast Aesthetic are my own and every collaboration is done with absolute integrity.
