LA City Guide: Sweet treats at Bottega Louie

I don't know about you, but I've got a serious sweet tooth. And after an early flight to Los Angeles I knew exactly where I wanted to go to get my afternoon sweet fix. Bottega Louie is a place I've dreamed of going for some time now and thanks to the recommendation of several of my Los Angeles native friends, I made it a priority on my travel list. 

This place is a designer's dream -- sleek marble counter tops, clean package design (with gold foil detailing...swoon) and the cutest bar. Not to mention, the bakery counter supplied with rows of colorful macarons and other sweets. It's one of the most picturesque lunch spots I've ever been!

We were able to sneak a spot at the bar for lunch and indulged in crafted cocktails and gourmet pizzas.

Afterward, we ventured over to the dessert bar to scope out the options. Bottega is best known for its macarons, so we had to give them a try.

I got an assorted selection of five flavors in the most adorable packaged box. We tried the following flavors: Birthday Cake, Rose, Mango, Lemon and Espresso. All of which were superb. I have to admit, the Birthday Cake was my favorite flavor though. 

Bottega Louie is well worth the visit and makes for an affordable and scenic lunch spot! Be sure to add it to your list on your next visit to Los Angeles.
