Reflecting on Seattle Style Lab

We came, we conquered and we celebrated a successful blogger workshop with our Seattle blogging community this last Saturday! Over the last year, I've had the goal of hosting a local workshop about blogging or design so I was honored when I was able to host Seattle Style Lab alongside bloggers Julianna of Blush and Camo, Mckenna Moe of The Modern Mosaic and Sydney Mintle of Gossip & Glamour and touch on these two passions of mine: all things branding and blogging.

The goal behind Style Lab was to bring the Seattle blogging community together to discuss the various (crucial) realms of the blogging world: branding, content creation and social media. We wanted this workshop to be for individuals of all experience levels: those looking to start a blog, those looking to rebrand their blog and those with more experience seeking tips on improving their current blog. It was amazing to see the range in our audience and the support from all those in attendance!

This event couldn't have been made possible without our amazing creative team and vendors! A big thank you to Brynn of dandy & fine parties who transformed my design mood boards into a real life space filled with inspiring decor, a handcrafted balloon and floral photo booth I'm still dreaming about and more! Brynn's amazing efforts helped to transform the General Assembly Seattle space into a creative and inspiring place for our attendees to learn and network.

Another big thank you goes to Crystal behind Fancy Cat Studio who provided us with all of the amazing calligraphy in our space. From framed artwork to white board hand-lettering, this lady is truly an inspiration with her abilities and also played a huge role in transforming Style Lab into a creative space.

Also, a huge shout out to all our supporting vendors from our catered goods (Talking Rain, RUNA, Bok a Bok and Trophy Cupcakes) to our swag bag surprises (sookie&co., Fresh Tangerine, Jennifer Gauthier, Mr. West, Brooks Running, Peridot Boutique, Swink Style Bar, Rain Glow Seattle, Flash Tattoos and JustGreet). We truly could not have put on this event without all of your support!

And lastly, I want to give a huge thank you to our amazing attendees! I had so much fun seeing familiar and new faces at our workshop and learning more about each blogger's personal journey. It's so humbling to be apart of a blogging community this supportive, loving and empowering. I am thrilled for the networking that took place and all the tips we were able to share within our skill sets.

Seattle Style Lab taught me so much in regards to hosting an event and how to network with bloggers. But first and foremost, it taught me this: only set goals for yourself, not limits.

So what's in store for the future? Many of you have asked me if there will be more upcoming blogger workshops and opportunities similar to Seattle Style Lab? I say, BRING IT.
