I recently had the pleasure of collaborating with Gigi Pip, a stylish accessories brand that features an array of beanies, hats and gloves. I’m a sucker for winter accessories and I am a strong believer that a girl can never own or metaphorically wear too many hats. You are bound to find a Gigi Pip hat you like and one that fits your individual style as they have so many different options: from flat brim hats to floppy, short brim, straw and wide brim, there really are no limits.
I was drawn to the Annabella Olive Green Floppy Hat. Floppy hats have always been one of my go-to accessories for every season since they are so versatile and fun to style! I fell in love with this specific hat because of the color – while olive green has slowly crept its way into my wardrobe, I realized I lacked accessories in this color. Not to mention, this wide brim floppy hat style is the very definition of feminine-chic. The braided black leatherette band with the Gigi Pip logo on the side also contributes a fun detail to the overall hat. Another awesome hidden detail?! There is an adjustable inner band to make the hat fit your head perfectly – whether you are partial to wearing hats more on the top or back of your head, it’s adjustable for your preference!
The Annabella hat is also ideal for winter as it’s 100% wool felt and definitely helps keep your head warm on cold days, which is a huge plus in my book as I’ve been traveling between Seattle and Colorado this holiday season.
The options are truly endless for the individual styling a floppy hat. I love an accessory that contributes a statement to an overall look and one that helps transform an outfit depending on the occasion whether that be day to night looks or anything in between. In this collaboration series, I’ve decided to share three unique ways to style the Annabella Floppy Hat from Gigi Pip for the following occasions: weekend casual, work-appropriate and date night.
In this first look, I’m sharing how the Annabella Floppy Hat is the perfect accessory to wear to work! Winter is about bundling up all while looking stylish – sometimes a daunting task. My recommendation for winter style? Layers. I simply cannot get enough of turtlenecks this winter and honestly, the chunkier the knitted turtlenecks are, the better! This cream colored turtleneck from LOFT is one of my favorites due to its style and fit. For additional layering and warmth, I’m wearing my Nordstrom plaid poncho over the top of my turtleneck. I’m a fan of the longer poncho style so you can get away with wearing it over a pair of leggings. Ponchos are an effortless way of adding pattern, color and detail to an outfit all while feeling as though you’re wearing a cozy blanket (talk about a score!)
For pants, I’m wearing my leather accented Nordstrom Brass Plum leggings. Leather instantly dresses up an outfit and is a subtle way of making ordinary leggings a little more edgy. Depending on how dressed up you want to be with your shoes, heels are always a great option for the workplace. However, I decided my Peridot Boutique lace-up black flats also did the trick while complimenting my entire look and adding some detail.
To add a pop of color to my otherwise monochromatic winter outfit, my Annabella Olive Green Floppy Hat does the trick! Olive green is a color that goes with practically everything no matter the season. I love how by adding this stylish accessory my outfit feels feminine and complete.
A huge thank you to Meghan Joan Makeup for providing me with the perfect natural HMUA look to further compliment this work-appropriate outfit!
