Vamped up in faux and knits
With Halloween right around the corner, I've been having fun trying out new fall fashion and beauty trends that are more on the dramatic side. When it comes to makeup, I love experimenting with a bold lip color, this fall I've been loving shades of red! It's the best way to glam up a look but also make a statement. When I collaborated with makeup and hair artist Sophie of Hutch Artistry she helped me achieve the perfect dramatic beauty look with focus on my lips, cheekbones and eyes, the perfect vampy, fall look. Never underestimate the ability makeup has to be your #1 accessory!
Experimenting with color is also another aspect I enjoy about fall fashion especially when it comes to pairing together light and dark colors. In this outfit, I'm wearing lighter, beige tones on top in my cozy knit sweater I scored at Nordstrom's NPG sale. Over the top of my sweater, for additional layering, I'm wearing my faux fur vest from Target that I've had the last two years. I so enjoy wearing it in the fall and winter as faux fur makes its appearance every year. This year, it's become my favorite layering piece.
To keep things cozy, I am wearing my charcoal gray knit pants from Forever21. These are my favorite pants to wear in the fall because the fabric is light and breathes well but the knit keeps you warm. They go with everything! But my favorite item to pair them with is a sweater and lots of layers like leather, knits, velvet and faux fur.
Wearing my Zara metallic oxfords was a no-brainer with this outfit. They are comfortable and great in any weather! They are the stylish touch when I want to make more of a statement without going too heavy on jewelry. To compliment my metallic shoes, I'm wearing my bold statement necklace from Forever21 that is a combination of silver and gold tones. This chunky necklace helps tie in the full look and darker color of my pants while also keeping my overall outfit feminine and more luxe looking.
Buffalo & Co. provided me with the most amazing leather bucket bag that helps keep me organized and brings style to any outfit I pair it with. This bag is the REAL DEAL. It's sturdy, water and weatherproof, detailed yet simple. I've been happily surprised with how easy it has been to wear it with a variety of outfits whether it be during the day or at night. I can't wait to invest in my next leather purchase from the online shop!
