Brooks Running Gear | Pt. 1
When it comes to activewear, it can be difficult finding clothing/shoes that are comfortable, breathable all while being stylish. It wasn't until I recently visited the Brooks Running headquarters that I discovered the amount of options I had when it comes to fashionable workout attire, so I stocked up on a few items to integrate into my workout wardrobe and decided to test out my new gear on a hike up to Rattlesnake Ridge with Kami Dishman of KNDM Co.
In this post I am highlighting a couple of my favorite new Brooks items. My favorite item I received would have to be my Chariot Heritage Running shoes. These shoes are not only extremely comfortable but they have great foot/arch support whether you're wearing them to go hiking, running, biking or simply wearing as everyday shoes. For the hike, they were extremely durable and had good grip on the trails. And my favorite part, they are stylish! My favorite part of these shoes, aside from the color, is the metallic gold accent on the backside. They come in an array of bright and bold colors so they are a great standout piece for your workout or everyday outfit. I have been wearing these shoes for my workouts as well as casual day shoes (they look great with cuffed jeans and a basic tee or loose jogger pants).
Another key workout piece for every woman is a comfortable and supportive sports bra. I generally prefer sports bras with thicker straps made out of breathable material that provides lots of support so I feel secure when working out. I scored the UpRise Crossback Sports Bra in dove grey from Brooks and I can honestly say I've never owned a more comfortable and supportive sports bra. What's nice about this sports bra is the padding isn't excessive but the material itself is thicker so you feel supported no matter what type of workout you're doing. I also love the overall look of this sports bra being crossback because it makes it more stylish than a generic sports bra with bland straps, I also love the various color options it comes in.
Workout gear should be focused around comfort and fit but that's not to stay you can't be stylish all while being active! Here's how I styled my outfit for hiking which was centered around my favorite neutrals paired with pops of colors. [Other items in this look: Rayban sunglasses | Dove grey Nike workout pants | Eddie Bauer waterproof backpack | Pantone Ice Watch | Basic white layer tank from Frankie Boutique | Brooks waterproof jacket -- this will be featured on pt. II post]
