Kicks & Prints: Pattern Play
There's nothing I love more than mixing feminine flare and sporty styles together in the summer time. I love feeling stylish while I'm out and about when the weather is nice. My second and favorite look of my Kicks & Prints collaboration with KNDM Co. is Pattern Play, this outfit showcases how to pair monochromatic patterns with other bold graphic prints.
In this look, I'm wearing my favorite summer skater dress from Pacsun. This dress has a good fit and length and can go with anything. I also love the cut-out adding a little extra pop to the look. I am a sucker for stripes because they tend to elongate my body (I'm 5'2 so anything heightening helps!) so I try to rock them when I can. To keep the outfit more casual, I paired my look with my favorite shoes in the world, my Nike Flyknits. These shoes are a must-haves! They are waterproof, comfortable (great arch support!) and come in an array of colors. I settled on black because it goes with more of my wardrobe pieces and although they can be played up in outfits such as this, they still remain fairly neutral, which I love. To compliment the monochromatic pattern of my striped dress, I decided to show off my new favorite flamingo crossbody bag courtesy of Buffalo Exchange in Ballard...after all, who can resist a purse with flamingos on it?
Mixing patterns is fun and summer is the perfect season to experiment when doing it! I always tend to go bold in the summer months with little to no accessories and letting my outfit do the talking when bright colors or lots of patterns are involved.
