Feminine & Denim: Flower Power
My fifth look of my FEMININE & DENIM photo / style collaboration with Kamrin Dishman of KNDM Co. is by far my favorite look of this series. This outfit encapsulates the true essence of feminine pieces with their denim counterparts and is the perfect mixture of girly sass. I don't know what it is about jogger pants paired with high heels that make me feel like a #GIRLBOSS but I just do.
In this look I'm rocking floral chiffon jogger pants courtesy of Target. I was skeptical about wearing these pants in public because they slightly resemble pajamas but when paired with my nude heels from Old Navy and a flowing tank top from Nordstrom I thought they looked more acceptable. I wanted the focus of this look to be primarily on my breezy, 70's-inspired pants so I kept the rest of the pieces light with whites, nudes and creams. I love stand-out jewelry so I went with a turquoise pendant necklace that draws out some of the turquoise tones from my pants. For layering purposes (and to stick with the theme of denim in this look) I threw on my favorite denim button-up from GAP. I love the denim wash of this top because it is lighter and balances out the colors in my pants and necklace. Not to mention, denim paired with a white tank top is a spring classic.
This outfit truly looks effortless and it feels that way as well. I love an outfit with a lot of flow and layers; to me, you can never have too many...especially living in Washington! Overall, this outfit embraces my favorite elements of spring fashion and makes for a perfect day or evening look depending on the desire of casual versus dressy.
