What to wear for NYE
Every year I have two struggles as the year winds down: what am I doing for New Year's Eve and what am I going to wear to bring in the new year? Granted, the appropriate outfit choice is dependent on what you end up doing but the outfit options are endless and you don't have to break the bank. I've decided to share some of my favorite inspiration for three types of NYE looks: casual, going out and formal.
Casual: if you're spending New Years Eve with family and friends for a more low-key evening it doesn't mean you have to be overly dressed up. Layers and statement pieces will do! Here are some of my favorite casual NYE looks and pieces:
Going out: If your NYE entails going out, there's no need to be overly formal but have fun dressing up more than you typically would -- play up your makeup, add some sparkle or leather to your look or even a pop of unexpected color! Try out a one piece or a romper -- make a statement! Here are some of my favorite going out NYE looks:
Formal: If your plans are more on the formal-side whether it be a classy get together with family/friends or attending a party with a dress-code, still remember to have fun with your look! Add a heel to a pant for formality, rock a bold statement necklace with a little black dress or sport your new favorite body con dress. It's all about having fun while being comfortable and stylish when dressing up for formal events. Here are some of my favorite formal looks for NYE:
