Pantone Color of 2015: Marsala
It's that time of the year where designers and creatives alike eagerly wait for the announcement of the Pantone Color of the Year -- a trendy color that will be primarily observed in the fields of design and fashion. The color of 2015 was announced this week and it is: Marsala.
The color took a while to grow on me. I am used to sleek tones or bright pops of color when it comes to Pantone so this new color was different and took some getting used to -- it was earthy, rich and beautifully muddy.
After taking the time to observe the various ways it is already being translated on the fashion runways and projected to make an appearance throughout each season I was fixated on the color and am already ready to indulge and style a few outfits starring Marsala. I also am a fan of Marsala in the form of interior spaces. The rich color makes house decor look instantly expensive, warm and cozy. What can I say, I am now swooning over Marsala.
